Jane Baker-Smith

Founder & Occupational Therapist

Jane graduated with a BSc in Occupational Therapy from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2009. She began her career at Edenvale Hospital, caring for adults, children and patients recovering from hand injuries. Her passion for hand rehabilitation led her to complete a postgraduate diploma in Hand Therapy at the University of Pretoria in 2015.

She founded the practice in 2016 and continues to build her expertise in lymphoedema treatment, neurological rehabilitation and paediatric care, including neurodevelopmental techniques and sensory integration training. Jane believes the best therapy happens when patients understand their treatment and actively shape their own goals.

Eunice Mashopani

Practice Manager

Eunice is the friendly face who keeps Jane Baker Occupational Therapy running smoothly. With a BA in Media Studies and Sociology from Wits University, she enjoys connecting with people and helping every patient feel welcome, informed and comfortable from the moment they arrive.

Whether she is coordinating appointments or answering questions at reception, Eunice aims to create a warm, stress-free experience. Outside work, she enjoys discovering food markets, park runs and great conversations.

BSc Occupational Therapy — University of the Witwatersrand (2009)

Postgraduate Diploma in Hand Therapy — University of Pretoria (2015)

Additional practice training

Lymphoedema management certification (2022), neurodevelopmental therapy foundations (2024), and Sensory Integration training modules attended in 2024–2025.

Additional training has included WorkWell functional capacity evaluations, medical mediation and practical labour law.
